Kim Kardashian’s wedding could have supported education for 40,000 girls

The cost of Kim Kardashian’s wedding could have supported education for 40,000 girls in Room to Read. Read this NYTimes article about how Room to Read is changing lives. Incredible. Click on link to read more!

“I get frustrated that there are 793 million illiterate people, when the solution is so inexpensive,” Wood said, and continued, “If we provide this, it’s no guarantee that every child will take advantage of it. But if we don’t provide it, we pretty much guarantee that we perpetuate poverty.”

For those of you supporting Bricks and Books (the pharma charity leadership event and online auction), you know that 100% of what we raise goes to Room to Read to bring education to those who, without us, would have none.

And you can still get involved and bid on things you will buy anyway on our online auction. Check it out at http://www.bricksandbooksevent.com/auction
